Dr. Meister is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the upper extremity conditions from the shoulder to fingertip, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He treats conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, shoulder arthritis, shoulder replacements, rotator cuff injuries, sports and work-related conditions, and more. Treatment options may include minimally invasive arthroscopic or complex reconstructive procedures.

The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin was established in 2001 as a joint venture between a group of orthopedic surgeons and Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s, a health system.

Hip

The hip is a powerful ball-and-socket joint connecting the thigh bone (femur) to the pelvis. It supports body weight, absorbs impact, and enables walking, bending, and rotation. Pain or stiffness here can limit mobility and stability.

The knee is the body’s largest joint, connecting the thigh bone, shinbone, and kneecap. It provides stability and flexibility for walking, climbing, and sports. When injured or worn down, knee pain can significantly reduce mobility.
