Celebrating OHOW’s 20th Anniversary
On June 4, 2021, the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin (OHOW) will celebrate 20 years of providing best-in-class care. We’re honored to have served countless patients in our two decades of operation and proud to look back and celebrate on OHOW’s 20th anniversary.
OHOW began in 2001 as a collaborative effort between a group of orthopedic surgeons and Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital. After eight years of business in our initial location, we designed our current building with patient care and comfort in mind. In 2009, the new, 30-bed,10-operating room orthopedic specialty hospital opened.
In May of 2021, Brandon G. Goldbeck became OHOW’s Chief Executive Officer. Goldbeck works hand-in-hand with surgeon and Medical Staff President Rory Wright, M.D.
Under the directive of Goldbeck and Wright, OHOW delivers full-service treatment for orthopedic injuries and conditions. Every day, we provide patients with excellent care during surgeries, inpatient overnight stays, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, and rehabilitation services.
OHOW also runs five off-site physical therapy locations in Cedarburg, New Berlin, Greenfield, Wauwatosa, and Shorewood. To further serve our patients in the greater Milwaukee area, we will soon open a sixth location in Mequon.
Throughout our years of operation, OHOW has received recognition and awards for our quality of care and our unparalleled patient and staff satisfaction.
Some of the honors we have received include:
- Awarded the top 1% in overall patient satisfaction for all U.S. hospitals as measured by Press Ganey.
- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel award winner as one of the “Top 100 Workplaces” from 2013-2021.
- Modern Healthcare magazine award winner as one of America’s “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” 2011-2018, 2021.
- Listed among the nation’s top 27 patient-recommended hospitals according to Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data.
You will find a more detailed list of our awards and recognitions on our website.
On OHOW’s 20th anniversary, we want to thank you, our community, patients, and staff for your support throughout our 20 incredible years of operation. Here’s to many more!
